If I try to guess someones hotmail password from another country, will they find out?

I know if you try to guess someones for facebook from another country, a message appears informing you to change your password and the country from where the hacker lives.

The reason I ask is because I am suspicious that someone has been on my account.

So does this apply for hotmail also? many thanks
