If I sync my unlocked iPhone 3G 4.0 version with iTunes 10.1, will it lock?

Currently my unlocked jail broken iPhone is a 4.0 version that I use with iTunes 9.2.1.4,
By downloading the new iTunes 10.1, can I still sync my iPhone without locking it?
