D dudi New member Sep 24, 2009 #2 Well, before you sync it to 3.1.1, jusyt sync it normally and then update. And trust me, there isnt much in the 3.1.1 update. hope this helps!

C Charlie New member Sep 24, 2009 #3 idk if itunes 3.1.1 uses sync but if it does under settings just check manage ipod manually and you can add only the media you want from your laptop
