Few questions- ANYONE WHO NUMBERS THEIR ANSWERS W/ MY QUESTIONS WILL RECIEVE BEST ANSWER.

1.) First off, what "age" should I take the fish to the petstore? I need it to be at a time when I can distinguish the difference between males and females.

2.) Females are harder to come by then male fish. How much should I sell females for, and how much should I sell the males for?

1.) CAll the petstore and ask them. Every store is different.

2.) Females are not as wanted as males because they aren't as pretty usually. They would probably sell for cheaper.

If you are breeding pet store bettas, this is the equivalent of breeding two mongrel dogs. I think it may be hard for you to find someone (a pet store that is) to take them for free, let alone buy them from you.

This is a matter of genetics really

1. You should wait until they are at least 3.5 months old

2. Females are usually cheaper than the males.

If you are breeding your average pet store veil tail betta then I would only sell them for between 2-4 dollars. If they are HM, OHM, Plakats, DT, SD, those kinds then you can get more for them. If they happen to be dragon bettas then even more. Most HM, OHM, go for about 15-20. These are from good breeding stock though.

1. the age when you take them should be when you can distinguish if they are a male or not, (length and shape of fins)

2. I have gotten a male betta for over 4 dollars.
You can sell the females for 5 dollars?

It depends what breed your betta is.
just remember they can have 100-200 fry. so be prepared.
