I wouldn't deliver your mail, you may want to get a PO Box or put a mail box by the sidewalk. Yeah it may discourage burglars, my dad used to have a sign in the window "If You are Found Here to Night, You Will Be Found Here Tomorrow" signed Smith and Wesson
