if i put a program onto a flash drive can i use it on another computer without

saving it onto the computer? basically, what i am asking is can i run a program i download onto one computer and put it on a flash drive and run it on my laptop through the usb drive without putting it on my laptop
i dont want to install anything on my laptop, but i have the programs i want to use on my desktop, so i was wondering if this was an option
