If I plan on using my boat in the winter for fishing...?

Do I still need to winterize it... Best fishing around my area is in the winter... I live in Sacramento Ca... and want to go striper and sturgeon fishing this winter around the rivers and Delta... any tips on keeping the boat safe but also ready to take out fishing... I keep it outside, its an 18 ft inboard/outboard V6 open bow...this is my first winter with it
 
If it ever gets down to freezing where you live, you need to insulate the power head, it will have water in it so you have to keep it above freezing.

Also change the lower unit oil before the first hard freeze, in case of water intrusion you don't want the gearcase cracked open.

If the temp gets to 32 deg U need to winterize it with antifreeze or the block will crack. Other wise no if the temp isn't that low .
