I really like economics but people say you should major in finance of accounting to become a stock broker, but i want to major in economics. I stock brokering still a possibility?

There are only two things you need to know before becoming a stock broker

1. You have to be good with people
2. You have to be good with math

Screw economics and only learn investing for personal finance. Also screw accounting or finance. Major in math , then go into business. Being a math whiz in the business world is more useful than knowing accounting or finance.

Sure that's a possibility, just realize that a Broker's job is to usually execute others orders instead of their own. So most of the time you're dealing more with accounting, paperwork (having nothing to do with actual economics). And yes, I've also heard that most brokers usually major in finance.

If you want something more involved economics you may want consider being a trader, or some type of money manager (hedge fund maybe).
