I walked into the marine corp recruit station about a month ago..... 1st thing they did after I said I wanted to join was send me to MEPS (physical and ASVAB aptitude test) after that I was enlisted and given a ship date to boot camp that was at its earliest, 3 months away. I could, COULD go to my recruiter everyday and ask him/her if I could be sent earlier, but the only way I can be sent earlier is if there was a spot from my area that opened up...... Soooo basically, at 1st, it will take you approx. 3 months, unless you can get in earlier due to someone chickening out, or some spot opening up somehow...
