If I install a remote starter does my stock alarm still work?

I'm thinking about purchasing a remote starter to warm up the car during the winter. I have a 2008 Honda Civic with alarm (keyless entry). Can I just purchase a remote starter without having to disarm my current alarm system? Or should I just buy a new alarm system with remote start?? lost, please help. Thanks
 
You have to get a new alarm system, to get the remote start you'll have to dis arm the stock system
 
Your stock alarm won't work with a remote start. You're gonna need a new alarm for that.
