...published chapter book? In Microsoft Word I have over 30 full pages of writing, and I would like to one day get it published. The font is Bookman Old Style size 12 and is that enough writing/pages for a chapter book. Anything is helpful. Thanks

Look at the word count. A typical paperback has about 250 words per page, so take your word count divided by 250 to get an idea of how many pages your work would be (this is, of course, only a ballpark figure, and it doesn't account for editing or anything like that).

[30 pages probably isn't enough for even a short novel, though.]

Not for a chapter book. Maybe 30 pages for a chapter. Mybe that could be a short story. You can get it published cheap on http://www.blurb.com That is what i am using!!

GOOD LUCK! :D

Sorry, but 30 pages for an entire book? Absolutely not. That would make like a 60 page book. Now if you continued, yes it could be.
I have a book of 107 pages (not double-spaced) and I still think it is short. But, I have yet to finish.
But no, a mere 30 pages is insufficient for a full chapter book. If you are trying to say something else, then I might have read the question wrong. Are you done with the book yet?
Supposedly, if you double-space the whole thing, that is how many pages you will have in your book.
I could critique it, or try to help you extend it. You are welcome to email me.
Hope I helped.

The trick to figure this out is really simple. Go under toolbars, and select word count. Use that to see how many words your writing is. Divide that number by 260, the normal number of words on a book page. That is how many book pages you have.
To get a better idea of this while your typing, change your word spacing to 1.5 (that normal spacing for a book) and remember that tree typed pages in that spacing is about five book pages. Happy writing!

30 page depends on the page format cause Microsoft Word page layout are more wide and longer than a regular novel so idk it might just the word count

Oh gee. I write in size 10 Arial, single spaced, and I only have 14 pages. It's about 12,000 words. Most books are 75,000 to 100,000 pages, and those I consider short. You probably wouldn't be able to get away with only 30 pages, even if it's a childrens book.

What size are the microsoft word pages? If it's the regular 8x11 or something (which is the size of a piece of printer paper) try switching it to 5.83 x 8.27 which would be the size of a book, then see how many pages you have :]
30 pages really isn't that much, even the smallest childrens book on my book shelf is 68 pages.
