If I go before the university honor council, should I bring a lawyer?

I told the professor I researched the paper for another class. She said, it was fine, just add some details. 24 hours before it was due, she emailed me to say it had to be SIGNIFICANTLY different from the other paper. When I asked for an extension, she said that if she did not receive it by noon, she could not accept it. I turned it in and she reported me for academic fraud.
