If I give 100% of my pre-tax money to charity, would I go to jail?

Is it true that I'm not allowed to be fully generous in the United States?
Like if Bill Gates gave all his billions to charity pre-tax, then you'd be arrested for tax evasion?
Granted I don't think this has been tested in the courts has it?
word correction, I mean, if Bill Gates'd given it all pre-tax to charity, *he'd* be arrested for tax evasion, right?
I mean, let's say I have $10,000 pre-tax. I then give all said $10,000 to charity. I have $0 now. IRS will come knocking for money.

I can't just say "I gave it all away" can I? They will say I owe money, and arrest me if they know I willingly gave it all to charity instead of paying tax. Right?
though maybe a million dollars works as a better example than $10,000 since there is little tax burden for that bracket.
But what if you always refused to pay that "tax" on the money you gave to charity? And continued to give 100% of your money away to charity and not pay the tax?
Sorry for this question, I just heard it from someone and so far have been unable to disprove it in the case of someone who would *willfully* give 100% of his money to charity and never pay tax on it since that would be tax evasion after all. Hard to imagine going to jail for generosity, but.... guess it is possible.
