If I get my phone flashed at a store

They say they can switch my phone over to Cricket, but they say that MMS and WAP wont work. I've seen threaRAB here that tell me how to get MMS on my phone after flashing but my question is

Is it posisble they're flashing it in some weird way that will completely disable my MMS capabilities? Or will I be able to recover them with some work after I get my phone back?
 
Crap. x__x Its a Samsung Juke, sorry. (SCH-U470 I think)

Anyway, I didn't think to post the phone model cause I figured it was kinda general but yeah, sorry about that.
 
Well the flash they are talking about is a partial as far as i am conserned. All they are gonna do is load a Cricket PRL so all you get is Voice and Text but no MMS or Internet.

I'm sure someone has found a way to get those working on that phone. Heres for hoping. 8)
 
1st off that phone dont even have WAP as far as i know, VZW never put WAP on it cause the screen is to small, as far as MMS goes it is possible but only if you have the right tools for the MMS. but if you dont then no you cant have mms on the Juke
 
Well I'll look up a guide here how to put the MMS on it then. I just wanted to make sure they're not like.. doing something other than what I could be doing myself if I knew how.
 
no they not gonna mess up your phone they just dont kno ow to do it...and if u gonna set up on ya own mms u might as well load the prl ya self...its the easiest part...
 
No worries you'll be glad in the end that you learned how to do it because the first few steps are the hardest and with time and experience it will get easier. 8p

So give it the ol' College try....LOL
 
Unfortunatly nobody has put it on word by word on how to do it step by step, there's clues but they all scatered on here and mobile - files.
so have fun :), ill post a good clue
By the way the dealer at the store is just writing the PRL into phone that does not by any means disable the MMS side of the phone, all it means is that your phone is "lookin for cricket towers" now instead of "verizon towers"
 
Juke MMS


First you use Samsung PST lite to read the juke using 540 dll version to read the phone. In seting read IS-95/1x1 EV-do-date. After reading save file.

Now open Samung PST full not the lite , open up the file you just saved. at

MIP nai phone [email protected]
MN Authentictor 111111
SIP nai phone [email protected]
An nai phone [email protected]

AT an pssword hex put in this nuraber 637269636b6574 this will put cricket in thean password just above. save file

now go back to Samung PST lite open the file you just edited and write to the phone. You are half there at this point in can recieve picture but you cann't sent them.

to sent you need to enable the hidden menu using Samsung PST Lite go into features and read phone near the bottom you will see hidden menu and it will say disable just chance the to enable. write to phone

now on the phone go messaging, settings hit the # key it will then say lock code 470667 is tthe code.

at:
MMSC domain it will be http://mms.mycricket.com/servlets/mms hit ok
at upload short code it is 111111 hit ok
at UAProf it will be http://mms.mycricket.com hit ok
autu mode it is commercial
at user name phone [email protected]
password is cricket

now exit hidden menu

full MMS sent and recieve

I did not figured any of this nor did i wrote i just copied it and paste it, so i dont take credit for it
 
Try a Corporate Cricket Store, I live in Omaha, NE, I have 2 Samsung A920's previously used on Qwest network that the Cricket store here fully flashed, everything works, sms, mms, and web, they offered a partial flash(voice, sms) for $30, the full flash costed me $60 per a phone, it was worth it
