If I get an unlocked Samsung Impression, can I use it with a Net10 sim?

The Samsung Impression is with AT&T. I hate AT&T, the prices are through the roof. If I unlock the phone and plug my sim card into it, will it work? What about the prepaid menu? Is the Impression capable of being a prepaid phone?
