First off, my state of resident is NOT California, so I do not qualify for the Blue and Gold Plan.
But, my parents only make roughly $35,000 a year. Will I qualify for financial aid, covering almost all of the cost?
I'm just worried, because if I don't get scholarships or have most of my school paid for, my dad is forcing me to go to the Naval Academy. I do NOT want to go into the military for my job, but they want me to go because it's free, and they're not paying for my education because I have 4 other younger siblings.
It's not fair, because I told them I'll get student loans and pay bills, like normal people but he screamed and threatened me...
so if anyone would like to give me advice on financial aid covering mostly all costs in CALIFORNIA that would be greatly appreciated !
Also, I want to go to California because 1. It has been my childhood dream to be able to go there, and 2. I'm trying to be famous, so I thought California is a good start.
Thank you so much for reading, and just to let you know I am a Junior in HS.
Thanks again, and any advice is welcomed!
If you must know, I've never lived in the states, but because my family is here because we're a military family, my state of residence is my dad's, which is Maryland.
