Maybe, if you fail to attend court, the court may take your bond (that is why you post it, to back up your promise that you will be to your court dates), issue a warrant for your arrest and once they get you, may hold until your case is resolved ie - without bond. That is a worst case scenario. Better make sure you are there at court. You do not want to have a warrant. It will come to bite you at the most inopportune times.
No worries though, sounds like a minor charge. In fact, depending on the state they could find you guilty in your absence, take the fine from your bond and it would be over. It really depends on the state. Hopefully you are in Cali.
