I recently just began to understand this topic, except for a few things:
1) if i consume a high carb diet now, my blood sugar level shoots up, so does my insulin level and more fat gets stored in my fat cells and less fat gets to come out, right? what about if the next meal i suddenly decrease the carbs in the meal, will the insulin still remain there (from the last meal) or will less be produced or what?
2) if i consume a high fat, low carb diet, the fat is then burnt for energy, but how would i be sure that the fat in my fat cells are used up too? i would still get hungry and still have to eat, doesn't the fat remain there in the cells?
3) there's this theory that to achieve a low-carb diet, only a limited xx amount of carbs is supposed to be taken in a day. if i take more than that xx amount, does the fat-burning process still work?
4) will the complex carbs i take (granola, oats, wholemeal bread) ruin the diet? uhh...... is wholemeal bread even considered as a complex carb? what about grapefruit?
