Due to exams and revision taking up a whole load of my time, I've really stopped training as much as usual.
I used to run about 7K twice a week, and do other bits as well like swimming (around 40 mins) every week, and also dancing for 3 hours a week. I'm not too concerned with dropping fitness at the moment, as I have plenty of time to regain that after exams finish, however I am worried about gaining weight...
I used to eat roughly 1800 calories a day. My question is, if i eat 1200 calories a day, but do barely any exercise (maybe an hour walk a day, and a run every now and then) will I maintain or gain weight??

I currently weigh 8 stone 10 (122lbs) and am 5,5 in height. I'm also 17 if that helps. My exams last another 3 and a half weeks...

Any advice would be really welcome as I'm going on an expedition pretty soon after exams, and any extra weight will be a pain to shift in the time between exams finishing and the exped. (and also a pain on the actual expedition)

Nope, your body naturally burns 2000 calories daily when you perform normaly everyday tasks. Especially since you're 17 your body has a high metabolism. You should be more than O.K if you walk an hour a day and run now and then. You should eat more than 1200 calories a day however, its a little too low. Your intake should be around 1800 again.
