If I connect my cell phone to my wireless router via USB cable, what would happen?

I have an LG Chocolate Touch with Verizon, and an Cisco Lynksys E3000 router with a USB port. What would happen if I connect the two with my phones USB cable. Would my phone be connected to Wi-Fi? Will Verizon charge me? What would happen?
