If I can not enlist in the military for health reasons how can I still serve my country?

Ever since I was 18 I wanted to serve..either Marines or Coast Guard...They said I can not sign because I have a genetic disease that requires constant monitoring and medication ( I was honest with the recruiter and told them my diagnosis that I received when I was very young). It is not contagious, but they said no matter what they couldn't allow me in. It's not my fault as I was born with it. I am in physically/mentally good shape and stay very healthy yet they said my disease prohibits me and would violate code. I always thank and shake the hand of any service member I meet yet I still want to serve...one recruiter told me I could just not tell them when I signed but when I started to get sick they might question me.. What should I do. Thank you
