I am in a 4-person family plan. It costs $80/month with shared minutes and unlimited texting, plus my Dad's iPhone data plan. I am upgrading from a normal cheap phone to an Android phone. I will buy an unlocked one online, because I'm not upgradable so the phones from AT&T cost too much. So my question is, when my phone arrives, all I do is simply pop in the SIM, then add just the x amount of data costs required to get 3G internet? So my parents will be paying x more per month?
