if i buy an iphone 3gs from the apple store, do i have to activate it? or can i wait until i want to?
I DO NOT want to activate it right away. can i wait?

yes you can they should ask you if you want to activate it now or later

If you buy it for full price, it does not have to be activated. If you buy it at the discounted price with a new contract or an upgrade, activation is required.

I don't think so. The 3GS is AT&T only & requires in store activation on purchase.
