I'd like to know if a Nokia phone purchased from the American website will allow me to use a SIM card from Fido Wireless. The phone I am interested in (Nokia e71 - so hot) is available here, but is sold for an extra $200. [I've seen it anywhere from $350 - $450 before tax and unlocking prices].
Purchasing from Nokia US would cost in all, about $330-350. Getting it from Rogers would be more like $550. I don't want to leave my Fido contract.
I don't want to purchase the phone to find out that it doesn't work here. Any insight? I've contacted customer service, but in the meantime....anyone know?
Maybe they won't even ship to Canada...
