If god created humans in his image & humans evolved from monkeys then are monkeys...

God can't have an image, if he's outside the conceivable universe, he would be dimensionless.
 
When the Bible says that God created man in His own image, I believe it is speaking in the spiritual sense and not in the biological sense that you are suggesting. God did not create humans in His image in the physical sense (at least I do not interpret it that way) and so He did not create monkeys that way either, but He did create us spiritually in His image.
