brokerage biz effected? According to financial news, US and European Union plans to require more derivative products to be processed through clearing houses may nonetheless threaten revenue streams at traditional derivative brokerage businesses such as Icap.

I am interested in this trend, but is not very clear about the impact clearing houses have on brokerage business?
How would this regulation affect the profitability of brokerage firms?
