Chrysler dealer network? While all of the products from the FIAT group would have the handicap of their reputation*, there are only a handful of Americans that have owned a Lancia and were dissatisfyed. FIAT plans to have a go at the US market, they would do better with a product with a Lancia badge on it.

* in the States, the majority of the population belive "F.I.A.T." stands for Fix It Again Tommorrow
 
It's a belief planted in truth. My father owned two of them.

Restored one from the ground up. Tens of thousands of dollars into it.

Neither could make a 50 mile trip, without something exploding, breaking, falling off, etc.

Nevermind that Chrylser's reputation isn't exactly immaculate either.

If you want to see a company plummet into bankruptcy, watch the merger.
