If civilization had been left to women?

Would women name things after men, for example, men who were explorers would name their ships after women, or male soldiers would consider their country to be their "mother" country. In a strange way men pedestalised the feminine.

But in matriarchal societies it seems females had little or no regard for men or masculinity. In the Matrilinear Mosuo tribe of china, they don't have a word in their language for father.
Mister Expat, that's an excellent point.

Are you kidding? Just look at your question, women do rule the world. We name everything after them. Well almost everything...

No, I think it would be that way. I've had two cars, and I consider them both boys. My favorite stuffed animals were always boys. My laptops a boy.

In what way was civilization not left to women? They gave birth and raised the children that comprise the civilization.
