working week still 40 hours? computers and machines can do stuff in a hundredth of the time it used to take people to do (apart from certain things) , so why doesn't the average working week go down?
I know shops are open longer, but there's enough people to make things work.
Is this just a case of tradition? If the maximum working week was forced down to 30 hours for example, surely society would still work.
