They can't. And once the auto industry converts to hybrid vehicles that go the first 50 or so miles totally on electricity, hydrogen, or other power, the world won't be concerned with the oil monopoly of the middle east.Oil is the only reason the world cares about these desert countries still living like people were 2000 years ago.

They can't and they should never promise that. It would be like the Russian president making an election promise to end crime in America: it can't happen, it is not his business and he shouldn't be taken seriously.

Carter and Clinton were close. But, if we quit trying there, where else should we quit?- Education - no president has had 100% of yout graduate from high school- Medical research - no president has been able to assist the medical research community with a cure for cancer or AIDS- Nasa - No president has gotten Nasa to put somebody on Mars.- CIA - No president has gotten rid of CastroTHE LIST GOES ON...

Perhaps a peace process could be started through a gathering of Religious Leaders to examine what it is that separates the populations. Is it really religious differences, or are some people just power mad and using Religion as an excuse. If it could be proved that the people of different belief SYSTEMS could live in harmony, the governments would be shamed into elimination religious bigotry as a reason for war and at the insistence of the people draft or craft laws that encourage religious freedom, freedom to worship as one pleased outside of government interference.A wall between government and Religion might help people realize that the personal worship practices of their neighbor do not impact their lives.
