If Amp plays 50W x 2 at 4ohms..should i get 60 W RMS Speakers?

Is it possible to play 60 W speakers with an amp that powers up to 50 W x 2 at 4 Ohms? If i do, will that mean that i can't power the speakers up as high as 60 Watts? By the way, the speakers have 4 OHMS impedance.
 
if you bridged the amp, it should put out 70-89 watts. ( usually add the channels, and mult by .707 gives you a rough estimate) Now, check to see if your amp can be bridged. sometimes older amps can't be bridged without being fried.
