If it turns out that American troops were drinking water that had also been contaminated with depleted Uranium (since the best studies indicate that most of the drinkable water supply in Iraq has been contaminated with DU), would it change your opinion on "the cost of war"?

What if American troops come home and have children, and the children end up with deformities like the ones pictured in the article? Would you demand that we revise our practices? It's not that far-fetched of a scenario - it happened in Vietnam.

Just to add: Agent Orange caused leukemia, tumors, and other health problems in those exposed, and has since been blamed for birth defects in both Vietnamese and American children.

Many American veterans have reported trouble getting care related to illness caused by Agent Orange. Are we going to be complicit while this happens to a new generation of veterans?
