Well duh. If people spend more time literature, there would be more literature.

By putting toegether all the time women spent on grooming you would magically get a compendium of womens literature and voices ?

Or are you saying if those women would have devoted themselves to literature we would have more literature ?

Well of course that is true for all men and women who do not live up to their full potential. Its a fact of live, while theoretically we have a lot of possibilities as far as education and profession goes many people do other things instead of working on interstellar travel, like spending time on entertainment.
In the end we will have to go with the people who have both the talent the interest and the dedication to pursue a field than enriches mankind in some way and just accept it that a lot of potential, male and female, will stay untapped due to circumstances personal weakness or disinterest to pursue a field despite having the talent to do greatly in it.

We should be optimistic and just assume that if somebody had the cure to cancer in him he would have rushed torwards medical research.
