I had a secondary Toyota key stolen. If I get my original key re-programmed will the secondary key still work? What do I need to do to keep the stolen key from working with my car?
If the key has a chip you are probably going to need to change your locks and ignition. While you may be able to reprogram the key for secure entry, it will be costly because now you are talking about changing your ignition. Don't forget the doors, which the valet key can open if someone has an imprint of the card.
