If a store sells me a faulty bike tire, should'nt they replace it
This question is more based on morals and ethics. I Truly don't care about $5 bike tires.
Usually, in normal circumstances bikes with good tires can still go flat for various reasons. However, if the tire you have is on the verge of popping, and you PURCHASED it in that condition, than the store usually will replace it for you free. I know as a fact walmart once sold me a faulty bike, and they replaced parts (including tire and tube) for free. The peddles fell off, the handle bars were messed up. and other issues, Replaced 100% for free.
It's different if the tire is in good condition and the rider simply gets a flat from glass or a nail. In those circumstances it would be unfair to the store.
But stores usually don't sell bikes with faulty tires, and if for whatever reason the tire is defective, than it usually gets replaced.

Is it my fault for buying a item in that condition? nope! I assume that the product is in good working condition. I'm not an expert in bikes or anything else. If it's purchased with defects than the customer should not have to buy anymore money for it. Even $5

It's not really that big of a deal however, the moral is that it would be unfair to do that to a customer. sell them a defective product, than make them pay more money for the repairs. That's absurd.
I can also complain about stores that ask people for their backpacks but I will leave that for another day.
As for solving the problem with my tire, I will simply just replace the tube and tire from another store. Take bussiness elsewhere.
Remember, i'm not asking from a legal point of view. From a legal point of view, once a product is sold, it's sold. That's the end of it. I'm looking at it from a moral and eithical standpoint. just because something is legal does not make it morally right. For an example voyurism is legal in some countries, but it's not morally right.
Most stores will replace tires if you can prove it was defective when you purchased it. The reason stores have that policy is because its wrong not too.
