...will the snail get back up? A snail falls into a 30ft long well exactly 10 seconds before 6am. He is nocturnal so sleeps from 6am-6pm and is awake from 6pm-6am. If he climbs up 3ft. while he is wake, and slips 2ft down while he sleeps when will he get back up the well? show work

he goes up 1 foot per day

3 feet awake - 2 feet asleep

then on the last day he gets 3 feet because he doesnt fall back the 2 feet
 
On the last day, day 27, it will be starting at 27 feet and climb three feet, to go up and over the top. So it is 27 days.
1 day every day, for 27 days, last day, up and over.
