If a propane grill gets blown over in a storm, can it explode?

If the gas is turned off at the cylinder, it's not going anywhere. There's metal shielding around the cylinder so it doesnt accidentally get knocked open. No impact will set the canister itself off.
Now, if you had the cylinder open, if the hose to the grill got severed, you could get a leak.

I'm not overrulling it going off if lightning hits it.

Propane explosions normally happen when a leak in a connection fills an enclosed space and it set off by electronics. Outdoors this just doesn't happen, unless the grill is in a garage. If you can smell it, it's enough to blow you up.
