...bylaws or ones in place prior? I run a volunteer organization. A member took a leave of absence and I am now in the process of updating the bylaws in which a change may affect her. Since her leave started prior to bylaw change can she be held to the standards of the new bylaws or must we go by the ones that were in place prior to their departure?
 
If current members are "grandfathered" (exempt from changes), then she is too.

If not, then everybody abides by the new bylaws.
