your insurance does it effect you? if you let someone borrow your car and they get a ticket while driving your car do they need your insurance? and if you decided to make a copy and give it to them for proof of insurance does it effect your insurance?

The owner of the car is not responsible for the drivers actions, it goes against the licensed driver.
Unless the borrower of the car is not legally licensed, then your responsible.

It shouldnt effect you they asked for your insurance to make sure the car was legally insured but dont let other people drive your car your responsible for accidents possibly get sued .The person who had recieved the ticket it goes on their driving record not yours, insurance companies check the people they insures driving record.

In the law now (well I live in California) They said you shouldn't be driving without insurance & you have to have your name under there if not, your license will be suspended & they will impound the car.

its your fault, you have to pay, as long as you didn't get into an accident you should be fine, most states have no fault insurance
