if a newborn baby doesn't have the mental capacity an adult animal does, and a fetus

is far less than that? then where does a fetus get its rights to personhood? I believe any newborn severely mentally challenged, or deformed, or with a fatal disease at birth, or anyone whos brain damaged to the point of being a human vegetable carry less or at most just as much rights as animals. I think its silly for people to cry over a fetus then shrug their shoulders at how animals are treated world wide. Do you think that fetus is thinking "oh no! i'm dying!" anymore than an adult animal? apes and dolphins are self aware and are probably aware of their mortality, plus they feel pain and emotions, unlike a fetus.

where do these human rights come from for a fetus? human genetics? religion? the god and soul argument? its certainly not its mental capacity in the time of being aborted or not because animals are even smarter than that. can you come up with an argument thats not idiotic?

rights are not inalienable
