i liable to pay full amount? I had a band booked to play at my wedding. my wedding was then cancelled so i cancelled the band. my contract did not mention cancellation at all yet now i'm being threatened with legal action from promoter to pay half the orig cost (£500) as apparently "the Musicians Union and Equity states that if a performer fails to find a substitute venue then the full amount is due to the band". Do i have to pay, even though they already have my £200 deposit?
