so if im going 30 mph how many revilutions per minute is the 20 inch bike wheel going

About 504
Here's the math:

30 mph = 1/2 mi /min
126720 inches

1/2 mi = 31680 inches
Divide that by the cirumference of the wheel (20*3.14) and you get roughly 504 revolutions

20 inch diameter?

that is a circumference of 20? or 63 inches.

30 mph is:

30 mi/hr x 1 hr/60 min x 5280 ft/mi x 12 inch/ft = 31680 inch/min

31680 inch/min / 63 in/rev = 503 rev/min or RPM

.

Circumference in Feet = pi x D = 3.14159 x 1.66667' = 5.236'.
One revolution = 5.236'
30 MPH = 44 Ft Per Second
44 Ft./ sec. x 60 seconds = 2,640 Ft. per minute
RPM = 2,640 Ft./ 5.236 Ft. = 504.20
