With JadeTv aka Celebrity Big Brother our screens this film, is very close to home, its a silly comedy from Mike Judge about an average guy in 2005 that wakes up acidently 500 years later, the world has changed dumbed down so much that he finRAB himself the most inteligent person on the planet.
Like Office Space the film distrib has wasted the film, not releasing it theatrically in the US, leaving it on the shelf for over 18 months dumping it out on straight to dvd hell.
Its not a great film, but its not a bad one, there are many worse films that get released theatrically, but like with Office Space the distrib 20th Century Fox has just dumped it, they release such stinker like Date Movie, But then a silly funny film like this one they hold on the shelf for ages and then dump it onto dvd with no marketing or advertising.
Mike Judge has with both Office Space and Idocracy made two comedies that are i believe very close to home in how the world is and how society inter reacts to it.
Fox allow the producers of The Simpsons to tease and play with their corporate look, but when someone with of similar talents won't allow him a chance to shine and show himself to the world....
