I just brought a great film on DVD today called *Identity*........
John Cusack, Ray Liotta, Amanda Peet
a truely gripping suspense film , a real rollercoaster twist an turn ,jump out of your sofa movie .....

btw the extras are really cool

I was looking forward to this, i rented it last night.
Unfortunately i wasn't overly impressed, i thought i had seen most of it before. The script was weak, and at points i thought the plot was almost laughable.

It was an average horror/suspense/thriller, and while i am a big fan of John Cusack i just felt like he carried the whole story, the plot didn't really unravel, just pointed the finger at one character and then to another in typical fashion (except less well done). At no point was i really held in suspense, i don't think i really felt as if i cared who the killer was, as i felt detatched from the mystery and the characters.

I think the problem with this film is that it had no depth, it just tried contain elements of everything, which detracted from the suspense. At no point did i feel particularly frightened as the film never built up towarRAB a finale. I always believe that the music and sounRAB in the background play a big part in these types of films, and to be honest this was probably the biggest let down.

Overall a film that passes the time, rather than one that will have you coming back gripped with suspense.

I throughly enjoyed watching the film at the cinema, but I did guess exactly what was going on after 20 minutes so the 'twist' was totally lost on me :(

Very dissapointed in it - 2 twists in the film and i had them both before the film was halfway through.

Great concept and could have been done much better with a different studio producing it

saw this film some time ago - yes twists were obvious but the film was still enjoyable - I remember reading somewhere that it was based on Agatha Christies - Ten Little Indians - a much better film in my opinion is "memontoe" if you haven't seen it give it a whirl

ive just finished watching it :)

It was alright, not amazing. I did think the twist wasn't that amazing though, not after you've seen films like mullholland drive etc. Still, a semi-clever piece, if a little predictable :)

And some LAUGHABLE deaths...

severed head in a tumble dryer anyone? :D:D Oh and also the end line was great "ho's dont get a second chance" had me laughing even though i shouldnt!

I remember seeing this at the cinima. I had the 'killer' figured out early on, i said it as a joke, then it turned out to be true!

If you said it as a joke, you hadn't had it figured out did you.
By the way there were no clues that the culprit was guilty until the end. I checked by watching the film again..

I liked it partly because it was so unclear what kind of film it was.

I had my suspicions about the culprit ever since
he caused his mother to die. That was a pretty big clue.
