Identify the ways in which history plays a role in the play Topdog/Underdog. Is this sense of history broadly, or is it limited to a more personal interaction among characters?
 
Usually the top/underdog scenario seems to play out on a more personal interaction among characters, at least in literature, but it can happen on a broad scale too. Look at the Jews! Various "topdogs" have tried to squelch them out throughout history, but they always survive, and are always over-represented among the smartest, most educated, funniest, and wealthiest people in the world. (and especially in Hollywood!)

It happens in sporting events too, although I'd be hard-pressed to give you an example seeing as I'm not in the least a sports fan.
