...resembles a Lark Bunting.? I live in North Carolina's Piedmont and have seen a new bird recently. It is mainly black but has white stripes on the outer edge of tail, a distinct white mark running horizontally on its side, and a dirty white breast with specs of black. I looked all through Smithsonian Field Guide to birds of North America but the closest I saw was the Lark Bunting or Black-billed Magpie. Any ideas? It was eating on a suet cake.
