Ideas to what will be in South Park Season 14

Post your ideas of what the new season will be like, with current events that happened during the break, what will be symbolized more?

I hope they can come up with something to compliment the Emmey they won.

I won't be surprised if they spoof Kayne West's "performance" at the recent MTV awards.

It doubtful if they might spoof the FOP episode "Wishology"

I'd say that 3-5 episodes will be devoted to current events or some movie parody (probably their stance on Healthcare reform, do not turn this into a debate.) 2 episodes will most likely revolve around Randy, one of which will probably be about a current event.

I wonder how Obama will be handled. I think the election episode could have been handled a lot better but the writers (and animators) were rushed.

There will be at least one in bad taste joke/entire episode focusing on Patrick Swayze or Micheal Jackson's passing.

I also think the Kanye thing will be parodied, most likely in a Randy centered episode.

Disregard the "Season 14" part of the title, this is Season 13 part 2, very sorry for the confusion

They are kinda always rushed. According to their commentaries, they might do a "bashing" style Obama episode, about how his Reform still hasn't been able to pass, and how it is really some organization's evil plan (in the story anyway)

Current events rejoice when a writers retreat lets out.

Don't think so, they already did their Disney episode stating that they are money hungry, another one would be stale.

First off, don't we have an entire half season left of season 13? As far as what we can expect from that...

Most of the episodes will have Cartman and Kyle go at it in some capacity, at least one will put Butters in an uncomfortable situation, perhaps two will feature Randy, half will parody current events and one will no doubt throw out a huge curve ball and not feature any of the kids.

Sucks how predictable the show has gotten.

When do the rest of South Park Season 13 episodes start airing?

I hope the remaining Season 13 episodes of South Park deal with:
* The H1N1 scare (one of the South Park kids dreams everyone in South Park turned into pigs!)
* The Chicago getting the 2016 Olympics scenerio. (Maybe the Canadians including Terrence and Phillip complain about not getting Olympics).
* The deaths of Farrah Fawcett Majors and Michael Jackson.
* The Disney/Marvel Comics merger.

October 7th in the States, don't know if it is different in the UK. I figured with all these other topics, why not ask a question a little early. The new episodes start next week, so speculate is a go-go.

I'm thinking something on Mad Cow disease.

Oh and a full two-parter about a conspiricy regarding so many celebrity deaths. (actually if they pull it off right, that would be pretty good)

Was that at the Emmeys, I must have missed that.

If it is true, big sign of releaf, there goes two unneeded episodes/one big current event flop (looks at "The China Problem")

Well, they already have made fun of some of his policies, or at least referenced them, in both The Coon and Margaritaville.

Why are we so keen on making fun of Obama anyways? Is it because every comedy show and comedian under the sun made fun of Bush?

There isn't a lot to make fun of Obama on or at least not yet and I don't think the writer's don't want to rely on stereotypes that much. Now with Bush there was a lot to joke about, Clinton as well.

I can see them referencing his comment on Kanye West.

Actually, that show was never intended to directly make fun of Bush. The show was meant to be about whichever candidate won the election, and was half-way through pre-production as a show about Gore when they had to completely change it. The show itself parodies many classic TV shows, as it aired mere months after Bush took office(it aired before 9/11, Bush's first test as president), therefore there were really no aspects of his presidency that they could make fun of.

I stand corrected.

As for what to make fun of Obama, there is a ton to do, but this isn't the place for that. Check out Glenn Beck or John Stewart for that, they both like to make jokes about him, all which get a good laugh out of me.
