Hi, I'm new here, so if this is in the wrong section, I aplogize. I thought that since I technically don't know what's wrong with me, this would be as good a place as any.
Anyway, for the past couple of months I've been having some strange symptoms. At first I attributed them to being a college student and the stress of that, but when the symptoms became much more severe than I know my workload can cause, I contacted the campus medical center. That was a few days before Thanksgiving, and since then, no one's been able to figure out what's causing my symptoms.
My symptoms include:
There's more, but I can't think of them at the moment. My campus medical center was concerned, so I was sent for bloodwork. CBC, iron, and mono tests all came back negative, but my ANA levels were elevated. They sent me in for a rheumatoid factor and a sed rate. Both came back in the normal range. I saw a rhuematologist last week, who saw me for close to two hours and still couldn't figure out what was wrong.
She seemed concerned not only about my symptoms, but about the fact that my fingernails lack the little white half-moons at the bottom. She was also concerned when she listened to my lungs; apparently she could hear very little and was concerned. She had me re-tested for a CBC and checked my thyroid. Both came back normal, and she wants me to go in for more bloodwork and a urine analysis before I see her again this week.
Of course, this post is not to be in place of her advice and expertise (after all, she's the one who went to med. school. I did not. All I have is the internet.), but I was wondering if anyone could give any insight? I was told not to be concerned, that my symptoms were probably nothing dangerous, but since it's been going on for so long, I am just a little worried. Thanks.

My symptoms include:
- Extreme fatigue - to the point where I can get a normal night's sleep (7-8 hours) and be exhuasted enough to nap only a few hours after waking.
- Headaches - they last about 15-20 minutes behind my forehead, with nausea and lightheadedness.
- Bone pain - mostly in my thighs, but also in my knees and calves.
- Persistent low-grade fever
- Lack of appetite and/or feeling full too soon into a meal.
- Abdominal pain - mostly after eating, but at times random.
- Shortness of breath
