Ideas for CB Radio Mounting in '95 Honda Civic LX?

I'm looking to mount my CB in my car but I'm not entirely sure where to put it. I was thinking about mounting it to the dash right under the stereo but that would completely block off the ashtray (not a big deal since I'm a non-smoker) and interfere with the cup holders (a necessity in my eyes). I was thinking about taking out the ashtray and mounting the CB in it's place, however after doing some measurements the CB would stick out about 2-3 inches and again would interfere with the cup holders.

So with that being said, Any Ideas on where I can mount it without interference with the cup holders?

By the way, I have a Cobra 19DX III
 
can you mount it on the hump under the center dashboard?

what I did for mine back in the day was mounted it on the passenger side hump, but facing upwards, so passengers could still sit, but the radio would be under their leg, and not really in the way.
and my mic hung out on the dash for easy reach
 
How about mounting it on the passenger side of the console or center hump. It would stand up like a book and both you and your passenger would be able to see the faceplate. You can place the mic almost anywhere. Just make sure to mount it closer to the dash so that you would still be able to move the passenger seat forward and backward. Best of luck.
