I live in California's central valley (Stockton), I enjoy listening to an AM radio station in San Francisco which is about 70 miles away and with a 2000 foot mountain range between. The reception is sometimes good ,but usually not. I have connected to my radio a small antenna I bought at Radio Shack, but that is not completely satisfactory. I remember years ago seeing wires strung around in an attic and was told it was an antenna for a radio. I never knew whether or not it strengthened reception. Any ideas how I might improve my situation.
